Pam Fernandes

Hi, my name is Pam. I have lived in California for over half of my life – in the Bay Area and San Diego – but I grew up in Kirkland, Washington, near Seattle, and my parents and siblings still live there so I go back often.

I love to travel, hike, bake, and take on new challenges. In my early career, I planned meetings and events, but as time passed, my life was filled with various occupations that always seemed to be transforming. I think of my days as an ever-changing puzzle, where there’s space for everything and new things gently replace the old. I have been very involved in school and church activities, including being the PTO president and serving in local jails on our CS institutional committee.

Currently, I am the clerk of our church, the clerk of my class association, a volunteer in our Reading Room, and a mentor to a young boy, and I am taking interior design classes as we think about designing and building a house of our own. Each new adventure brings challenges, but there will always be joy and growth along the way.

I am familiar with NLC as both of my children went through the program in 2018C and 2020C. We all learned and grew a lot through the process! I’m excited to get to know this new group of leaders alongside my husband, Jason. I look forward to where this trail will take us.
