All ages – families, 20s/30s, adults and your friend of all faiths
(all youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

This event includes lots of walking around the zoo, including uphill and downhill.  You may bring strollers and wagons for children to ride in around the zoo. The Zoo’s elevation rises from 6,714 feet at the front admission gate to nearly 7,000 feet above sea level at the Zoo’s highest points of Asian Highlands and Rocky Mountain Wild.  With elevations of this magnitude, it’s important for guests to:

  • DRINK WATER – Keep hydrated by taking plenty of breaks to rehydrate with water.
  • Take your time and don’t overdo it, especially if you are visiting from locations much lower in altitude than Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Participants should dress comfortably and a waterproof jacket and sweater/sweatshirt are recommended.

PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER- programs will not be cancelled due to poor weather

This event has been cancelled for 2021. We are working on an alternative replacement

The National Event has been cancelled for 2021 at CedarS Camps. We are so grateful for the flexibility, support, and understanding the CedarS staff has given us in making this tough decision. We simply do not feel we can safely run the event at this time with the current local regulations, but look forward to returning to CedarS another year when we can safely run this program as planned.  We are actively working to plan an alternative option that best meets the needs of our participants.

stay tuned!

We will be replacing this event with another model similar to 2020, with several smaller events in areas around the country! So be sure to check back here often to find up to date information about the alternative events!

Thank you so much for your continued support of DB Outreach events.
