DB 20s/30s Iceland Adventure – September 20-26, 2020

Join a DB trip leader and a CS Practitioner as part of an 18 person group of 20s/30s that explores the southern region of Iceland in a supportive and healing Christian Science Atmosphere.

For:  Christian Scientists in their 20s/30s and their friends who are willing to dive into deep Christian Science discussions, support each other and the group by being patient, flexible and willing to help prepare and clean up group meals. Group travel always takes more time than solo or small group travel, but it can be a lot of fun with an inclusive easy-going group.

Cost: Registration is $1,525 USD with a $250 non-refundable deposit paid with a debit/credit card to secure your spot. Your spot will not be confirmed until Sten Palmer has been in touch with you. Full payment is due July 10, 2020. Cost includes all meals (vegetarian or fish/meat) from lunch on Sunday September 20 to lunch on Saturday September 26, accommodation, and activities outlined in the Tentative Itinerary below. It does not include flights. A payment plan (6 x monthly payments) is available starting January 20, 2020, and ending June 20, 2020.

Updated Cancellation Policy (due to pandemic):  If DiscoveryBound cancels the trip(s), you will receive a refund of the registration fee (amount paid by you and less any awarded financial aid). If a participant decides to cancel a registration then the updated cancellation policy applies. Participants who cancel between January 21 and July 10, 2020, will be refunded less a $750 cancellation fee ($250 deposit plus $500). No refunds will be issued after July 10, 2020. Special note: If you choose to cancel at any time and your spot can be filled with a new participant you can receive a full refund of amount paid less $150. All cancellations must be made in writing by mail or email to [email protected] and should include a reason for cancelling.

Additional Costs: We recommend that you purchase personal travel insurance for this trip. If you have special dietary requirements beyond being a vegetarian, you’ll need to bring what you need with you. We’ll also be going to a discount supermarket mid-week for you to buy additional items, if needed. The food provided will be simple, as food is expensive in Iceland. If you have specific food/snack choices, feel free to pack foods you like. Also, activities on Friday, our free day, are not included.

20s/30s Subsidy: Thanks to our generous donors, $3000 of the costs of this trip have been subsidized, which benefits every participant.

Financial Aid: Financial Aid is also available up to $400 toward registration and up to $250 toward travel on a need basis. If the amount awarded does not meet participant needs, they have 48hrs to cancel their registration for their $250 deposit to be returned. Register before completing the Financial Aid Form.
