Finish your Compass year strong by playing in the waves with your friends. This is the third and final retreat for the 2018-2019 Compass group, and it will be filled with fun excursions, meaningful discussions, and hopefully a few ocean sunsets!
The Principia Club of Jacksonville and DiscoveryBound Jacksonville Chapter invite you, your family, and friends to participate in the annual Global Days of Service.
When: Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: Sulzbacher Center 611 East Adams St. Jacksonville, FL
Who: Volunteers must be 12 or older
This shelter is the only place in Northeast Florida where residents can receive three nutritious meals a day, 365 days a year. Every day, the center prepares and serves over 1,600 meals to shelter residents and hungry neighbors.
Space is limited. Depending on the number of participants, we may split into two shifts:
Preparation from 9–11 a.m. | Serving from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.

We will meet for lunch on the dock at Balboa Island on the dock at 140 S Bay Front at 12:00 noon and the boat sails at 12:45pm.

Sunday, May 19 Family Hiking (all levels and all ages)
Explore the rich regional trails in San Diego with a visit to the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center. From there they will launch into some short hikes and will plan on pizza at Mountain Mike’s in San Carlos.
This local chapter event is for all ages! Bring comfortable shoes for hiking.
Join us May 24th – 27th, 2019 (Memorial Day Weekend) for a weekend full of inspiration, exploring NASA and Space Center Houston (!), swimming, games, nature, socializing, chatting and relaxing!

We will meet in the front of the visitor’s center. Please try to be there ten minutes before the hike starts.
Who: All ages are invited to this Hike. Bring your dogs and friends along.
After Hiking Kennesaw Mountain will go out to eat.

La Jolla Morning – All Ages
Saturday, June 22, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Join us for a Saturday morning in La Jolla with a trip to La Jolla Cove and bagels on the beach! We will meet up at the entrance of the Coast Walk Parking Garage on Prospect Street and head to the La Jolla Cove for breakfast on the beach. From there we have the option for a short hike to La Jolla Cave or walk on the Coast Walk trail.
Cost: $3.00 per person includes bagels & cream cheese, fruit salad and juice. Parking additional fee
