Join us for a fun and relaxing weekend at Crystal Lake Camps! You’ll enjoy some of CLC’s camp activities and get to spend time together!

About this Event

Getting There:

As most camps go, CLC is not located right next to an airport 🙂 We would love for you to fly into and out of Harrisburg (MDT), as we’ll hire an airport shuttle to camp. Because it’s a smaller airport, it will seem a bit more expensive, but there is transportation assistance!

  • Arrival time: around/before 5pm. If you fly in earlier, we will pick everyone up at 5:30pm and drive the 2hrs to CLC. Everyone will need to wear masks and be distanced in the van.
  • Departure time: book your ticket for anytime after 3pm. After our church service, we’ll bring everyone to the airport. Everyone will need to wear masks and be distanced in the van.

IF you are driving, you can arrive anytime after 1pm on Friday, and depart anytime on Sunday. Driving in is the recommended option at this time.

What to bring:

  • No fewer than 3 double-layered masks
  • Beach/swim towel
  • Swimsuit
  • Clothes for running around/clothes you may not care so much about
  • Sturdy shoes for running around and hiking
  • Sneakers for the High Ropes Course
  • Comfy slides/flipflops/sandels for relaxing
  • Wool socks and athletic socks
  • LAYERS! It’s really chilly in the mornings and evenings, and warms up during the day.
  • Puffy jacket, hat, pants
  • T-shirts, athletic shorts/crops
  • Long pants (or leggings) for the High Ropes Course
  • Hair ties for long hair
  • Comfy pjs
  • Toiletries
  • CS books, Lesson printout, etc.

Food:

Please input your dietary preferences in the Registration Form (see button above).

Cost:

$60/person — covers food, lodging, and activities! This does NOT cover the cost of transportation.

There’s a $30 cancellation fee and no refunds within one week of the event

Ingrid Peschke is a lifelong Christian Scientist and has been in the fulltime public practice of Christian Science for 18 years. Ingrid grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where she developed her love of hiking, mountain biking, and outdoor activities. She and her husband, who is also a Christian Scientist from Germany, met at Principia College and moved to Texas after they got married. There, Ingrid began her career as a teacher in the public school system.  Ingrid has three children, a daughter and son who are currently attending Principia College, and an older son who graduated from the college three years ago.
She became a practitioner in 2003 shortly after she and her family moved to the Boston area for her work with The Mother Church. She spent 15 years working for the organization both as an editor for The Christian Science Publishing Society and as Committee on Publication for Massachusetts. She and her husband moved to North Carolina in 2019.

She devotes her days to the public practice of Christian Science healing and as a part-time consultant/editor for The Mary Baker Eddy Library in Boston. This event has been cancelled for 2021. We are working on an alternative replacement

The National Event has been cancelled for 2021 at CedarS Camps. We are so grateful for the flexibility, support, and understanding the CedarS staff has given us in making this tough decision. We simply do not feel we can safely run the event at this time with the current local regulations, but look forward to returning to CedarS another year when we can safely run this program as planned.  We are actively working to plan an alternative option that best meets the needs of our participants.

stay tuned!

We will be replacing this event with another model similar to 2020, with several smaller events in areas around the country! So be sure to check back here often to find up to date information about the alternative events!

Thank you so much for your continued support of DB Outreach events.
