Join Dave and Elizabeth Bear for a Simple Guide to Making Sourdough Bread/Sourdough Starter

Curious about the process of sourdough making…come join us. It will be easy and fun!

This 4-month virtual affinity group is designed for new and seasoned bakers who want to learn the basics of sourdough (and sourdough starter) while in a friendly atmosphere open to questions and conversations. No experience necessary – just a desire to learn, grow, and connect!

What You’ll Receive

  • Monthly 75-Minute Virtual Sessions (via Zoom)
Led by Dave and Elizabeth, each session will begin with some short metaphysics, conversation, and then we will dive into the joy of sourdough bread making. At the end of the 4 months you will have your own sourdough starter (theirs is now 5 years old and has been shared with others) and the ability to bake your own sourdough bread.
  • Community Connection Space
A supportive group to share your baking questions: things that are working and things you may be struggling with. In between each month’s session you can email Elizabeth at with questions so that you are ready for the next session. (Email provided after registering.)
  • Guided Exercises
