DB Outreach – Teen Sailing in SoCal !

Who: CS teens in 7th-12th grade, and their friends of all faiths!
What: Come sail away in Marina Del Rey!
Teens in 7th-12th grades, join us for a fun day on the water with friends – no sailing experience needed! We’ll start our day on dry land at the Los Angeles Asher House and then, after lunch, we’ll head to the water for a chartered sailing excursion with Bluewater Sailing out of Marina Del Rey. Their expert captains will help us learn sailing basics as we hang out and take in the views. Everyone will have a chance at the helm, and we might even see sea lions and dolphins! We’ll wrap the day up with dinner together before heading back to the Asher House. Come learn something new and see LA from a totally new perspective!
When: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM Saturday, August 23, 2025
Where: Los Angeles Asher House – West LA | Bluewater Sailing – Marina del Rey
Cost: $99 – includes lunch, dinner, and all activities
Deadline to Register: Sunday, March 10, 2025 – spaces are limited, so register today!
Cancellation Fee: $50 if canceled before or on Friday, February 21, 2025
No Refund deadline: Saturday, February 22, 2025
Financial aid:
Registration – up to $49 per person
Gas – up to $75 (not to exceed 50% of total gas costs for one vehicle)

Payment & Cancellation Policy:
Full payment is due at sign-up (unless applying for registration financial aid – up to $49 per person available)
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following fees apply and are due when we receive notice of your cancellation:
- Up to 21 days (July 27) prior to trip = 50% of the total trip cost is non-refundable
- 0 to 20 days prior to trip = 100% of the trip cost is non-refundable
If DiscoveryBound cancels a program/event, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee. (If a participant decides to cancel a registration then the cancellation policy for that specific DiscoveryBound event / program applies.) As you are preparing air travel for these excursions, we encourage you to book flights allowing you the greatest flexibility in case there is a need.
