Book vs. Movie!
First a book… now a movie! Join us to discuss the movie version of one of our recent DB Four Season Book Club selections, Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (2021).
Project Hail Mary is a 2021 science fiction novel by Andy Weir about Ryland Grace, a middle school science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship with amnesia, tasked with a mission to save Earth from a sun-dimming algae called “Astrophage”. He discovers he’s not alone and must team up with an alien named Rocky, forming an unlikely friendship as they work together to solve the scientific mystery and save both their species. The book has been adapted to a film (PG-13), in theaters now, starring Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace.
