Connect with other Spiritual Seekers

47.Programs_Adult(2)

DiscoveryBound Adult activities help you explore more about the practical application of Christian Science while connecting with other spiritual seekers in an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that is comfortable for everyone.

Outreach Adult Chapter Activities

DiscoveryBound Chapters answer the needs of the community they serve. Local Chapters can offer a variety of events that serve adults, parents, children, teens or all these groups combined. Check with your local Chapter for more information. Outreach is also making an effort to organize events for adults (20s & 30s) to come together with their peers in a Christian Science atmosphere to socialize and network.

Outreach national Annual Events

Adults are welcome to attend an adult track at National Annual National Events. The adult tracks will provide an opportunity to be with other Christian Science adults, be in a spiritual atmosphere and learn more about ways to grow and support DiscoveryBound in your community.

National Leadership Council (NLC) Alumni Group

48.Programs_Adult(3)The National Leadership Council Alumni Group is a new initiative that is currently gaining momentum. The plan is to bring alumni together for an annual service trip. For more information contact the NLC Director email or call 888.416.7348 x134.

Get Involved

Adults are also needed to share their skills with the DiscoveryBound program through a variety of volunteer roles. Some of these opportunities include starting an Outreach Chapter, being a Chapter Worker, Chaperone, National Leadership Council (NLC) Mentor, National Leadership Council (NLC) Leader or Compass Guide.

I was so impressed by the entire program, the teenagers, our hosts for the adult track, the companionship, the fun, the laughter, the inspiration and everything about the event!

*Cancelled* DB Outreach National Event at CedarS Camps
Sep 4 – Sep 7 all-day

the DB National Event at CedarS camps has been cancelled for 2020

After much discussion, evaluation, and humble prayer, we have decided to not proceed with the in-person event at this time. This was not an easy discussion for the DB Outreach and Compass team, and we spent many meetings evaluating our options, but ultimately, we feel this is the right decision. A few of the reasons behind this decision include concerns about travel, group lodging, large group gatherings, and the hindrance on the way we would want to run this event with regard to Christian Science.
We are so grateful for the support of the CedarS staff in making this decision.  They understand this is a very different year for everyone, and fully support our reasoning. We are considering the possibility of partnering together for this event in an upcoming year.
The Outreach team is already exploring other options for how to reach teens and adults this fall in a meaningful, fun, and inspiring way to take the place of the National Event this year.  We encourage you to check back here soon to see what kind of regional activities are available!
