With close to 30 Chapters across the United States, DiscoveryBound Outreach has the exciting opportunity to bring teens and adults together from all parts of the country! In addition to several Regional Seasonal Events each year, we host a National Annual Event as well.

What you can expect

  • The National Annual event will take place annually in late summer (often over Labor Day weekend) in a major U.S. city.
  • A metaphysical theme will be the core focus.
  • The schedule will include a track devoted to teens, their interests and timely discussion topics.
  • Another track will be offered for adults. Chapter Workers, those interested in starting an Outreach Chapter, DB Ambassadors and all adults interested in DiscoveryBound are welcome to attend.

Thank you to everyone who attended! We had a great time exploring the entertainment industry in Los Angeles with you. Check out the photos from the weekend, and watch the keynote speech by actress Natalija Nogulich.

Meet Some of the Teen Workshop Facilitators!

Darrel Dorr – Darrel began his career at the Walt Disney Company as a show director, a position he held for over 20 years. Based at Disneyland, Darrel produced over 1000 shows for the Walt Disney Company. He then formed his own production company, Darrel Dorr Productions with an emphasis on film production. In 2015, he founded the Effulgence Foundation with the purpose of keeping the histories of early Christian Scientists alive through documentary films. He has always felt it is important to provide future generations with durable evidence that proves these people did exist and that they did provide Christian Science healing for mankind. For more information, you can visit his website here: http://www.darreldorrproductions.com/

Robert Tate Miller – Robert Tate Miller was raised in the North Carolina mountain town of Hendersonville and began his writing career with homespun essays of small town life published in such publications as Reader’s Digest, The Christian Science Monitor, and the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. Rob has since written some of the most successful television movies of the past two decades (Christmas Cookies, Secret Santa, Hidden Places, Farewell Mr. Kringle, Three Days, Lovestruck Café, Hope at Christmas, A Summer Romance). He authored the novels Secret Santa, Forever Christmas, The Christmas Star, Cowboys Need Not Apply, and The Christmas Layover. He lives in Northridge, California.

Betsy Mueller – Betsy has worked in the film industry for over 15 years. She worked as a Lighting Technical Director, or Lighting TD.  She worked on many varying projects that often led her to different studios and different countries.  Her work can be seen in films including: Happy Feet, Iron Man, Star Trek, Life of Pi, Pacific Rim, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Star Wars: Force Awakens, Rogue One, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.  Currently,  she is working on her own artwork, but hasn’t strayed too far from her lighting work with pixels, as she loves focusing on dot art and pointillism.  Betsy has been a part of teams that have won Oscars for their work in lighting. She currently has two Oscars.  For more information on Betsy, and to see some of her artwork, you can visit her website here: http://betsymueller.com/
