As summer jumps into high gear, with long sunny days and warm nights…we’re thinking of you.    The quarantine restrictive guidelines have provided us new opportunities to develop different plans for getting together with our friends and families. There are some activities we’d like to share with you and hope that you will pass them onto your local Groups/Chapters and friends.  

Staying at home has presented us with opportunities to think of new ways to support our local DiscoveryBound Groups.  We want to let you know we’ve scheduled a special evening of fun. So, get your calendars out and mark this date. This evening is for everyone to join in, so please share this information with your DB Group/Chapter, and friends.

8:00pm ET, 7:00 CT, 6:00 MT, 5:00 PT

“Get your game face on”…come join the fun for some Virtual Games that we can play together on Zoom. Meet new friends.Some games will include:
“All about me”
“Change three things”
“Have you ever”….
“Blank Slate”

At the end there will be a special treat for each group.

DB Outreach:  Northern California – National Event Alternative In-Person Gathering – (details to follow on August 17)

Join us for an in-person gathering for teens (grades 8-12) and a separate program for adults.  It will be a fun day of inspiration, discussion sessions, and outdoor activities.  Meet new friends and enjoy the outdoors!  We are offering this event outdoors so that we can follow state guidelines and regulations regarding social distancing and group gatherings.

Teen Registration Adult Registration Adult Financial Aid Form

Who:  Teens (grades 8-12 and adults)
When:  Saturday, September 19, 2020  11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
What:  Inspirational talk, group discussions, and a fun outdoor activity

Cost: 
$30 per person includes all activities and a catered dinner.
Financial aid is available up to $15 per person.
If we have to cancel due to new state government mandated restrictions or weather conditions there will be a full refund.

What to bring and wear: 
Bring your own bag lunch, water bottle and comfortable clothing

  • 1:15 – 2:00 discussion session topic: “Spiritual Discovery: Finding Peace & Strength in a Time of Upheaval” 
  • 2:15 – 3:00 Chat with the Practitioner (similar to brown bag discussions) 

3:00 – Teens – Discussion

  • 3:15 – 4:00 discussion session topic: “Spiritual Discovery:  Finding Peace & Strength in a Time of Upheaval” 
  • 4:15 – 5:00 discussion session topic: Jam Session (brown bag discussions)

3:00 – Adults Active activity 

5:00 – Hangout time and games

5:30 – Asher Student Foundation share

Cost:
$30 per person includes daily parking fee, all water activities, and catered dinner from Carbone’s Restaurant
Financial aid is available up to $15 per person.
If we have to cancel due to new restrictions or weather conditions there will be a full refund

What to bring:
Bag lunch & drink, water bottle for activities, comfortable clothing for water sports and/or short hike

There is a maximum of 10 teens at one picnic site and 10 adults for another picnic site at this event due to the MA restrictions and guidelines.  Registration is based on first come first serve.  Sign up now!

Join us for our National Event alternative this year at Bear Creek Lake Park!  This event is still for teens (grades 8-12) and adults.  Get ready for a fun day of boating activities, discussion sesssions, inspiration and fellowship!  Come meet new friends and enjoy the outdoors in beautiful Colorado!  We are offering this event outdoors to comply with state guidelines and regulations regarding social distancing and group gatherings.

Bear Creek Lake State Park in Lakewood, CO

Christian Science Teens (grades 8-12) & Adults and their friends of all faiths

Includes: single-day park entrance fee, all water activities, and dinner.  Registration is open!

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available up to $15 per person. If DB cancels this event due to changes in state regulations or weather conditions you will receive a full refund.

*Things to bring: Sack lunch, full water bottle, camping chair/crazy creek, comfortable clothing for water sports and/or other activities. If you own a SUP, kayak, or canoe feel free to bring your own!
