Friends, our planning for upcoming events and trips this year continues as we pray for, and expect to see, healing and improvement in the current world situation. Our outlook is one of undisrupted operation and demonstration of God in action, and we are joining in conversations with our partners and providers to prepare for continued excellent programming.

While we are doing everything we can to say “Yes!” to running in-person programs, we are closely monitoring the ever-changing rules and direction of local, state and federal agencies, and are meeting regularly to assess the situation and develop contingency plans if we need to adjust the schedules.

The governor of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recently issued their guidelines for camps and youth activities which include prohibiting overnight camps through the end of June, and additional regulations regarding gathering size, cohorts, travel, etc. for non-overnight programs. With several DiscoveryBound programs running in and around Colorado this summer, it has the following impact:

For DB NLC: Orientation Summer at the A/U Ranches is on hold; Adventure Trips are on hold; Service Trips have been postponed until next year and smaller end-of-summer gatherings are being planned for this year.

For DB Outreach local chapters and groups: in-person activities continue to be governed by the regulations of the state in which they are happening.

If DiscoveryBound adjusts the schedule of a program/event you are enrolled in, we will email you with updates. If DiscoveryBound cancels a program/event, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee. (If a participant decides to cancel a registration then the cancellation policy for that specific DiscoveryBound event / program applies.) As you are preparing air travel for these excursions, we encourage you to book flights allowing you the greatest flexibility in case there is a need to adjust the location.

If you have questions regarding a specific program/event, please email [email protected].
